Florida car title transfer, done right the first time

1. The late penalty is $20, not $10. F.S. 319.23(6) sets $20 for motor vehicles; the $10 figure is the vessel (boat) penalty and gets copied from site to site.
2. No notary is required on the "Transfer of Title by Seller" section, even though the title has a notary block (FLHSMV procedure TL-11).
3. Most Florida titles are electronic. If the seller has no paper, you either print one ($2.50 mailed, $10 fast) or reassign it together at the tax collector with HSMV 82994.
